Unfortunately thus far in my life I’ve lived by Oscar Wilde’s theory that only people who lack imagination live within their means. But due to yesterday’s discovery that my checking account balance is $11.86 (until Friday) I’m beginning to see the relevance of simplifying, paring down & saving!

I’ve learned throughout my life that pain is a great motivator. With determination I changed my course from a job that I’d loathed for 13 years to a career I LOVE (massage therapy). With a modicum of self denial I hope to rectify my financial & exercise situations in the coming year.

Here’s to 2012 - a year of taking our heads out of the sand, working hard, achieving results. Let’s do this!!!
